The Radcliffe
Hidden stringer cantilever staircase
A hidden-stringer floating stair. The steelwork hides inside the wall itself, so thick solid-wood treads cantilever straight out of the finished wall with nothing visible holding them up. Open risers, no visible stringer, no support posts.

HOW IT WORKS
New construction: the steel beam, tread frames, and LED wiring are installed before the sheetrock — the wall finish is what conceals the steelwork. Existing homes: a contractor removes the sheetrock where the stair runs, the steel is installed, and the sheetrock is finished afterward.
A note on sales tax: A stair we install for you is priced as a construction job, with no sales tax line for you in Pennsylvania. A stair kit or railing system delivered to a Pennsylvania address is a product sale, so Pennsylvania sales tax applies at the rate for the delivery address — 6% statewide, 8% in Philadelphia, 7% in Allegheny County. Kits shipped to other states are taxed only where the law requires it. Your quote will show the tax once we know the delivery address.
