Custom Floating Stairs & Railings in New York City
A New York stair has to earn its footprint. In a townhouse, a loft, or a penthouse, the staircase is often the largest piece of architecture in the home — and the one everybody touches every day. We design and build custom floating stairs and railings in our Pennsylvania shop for New York City homes, and our stair and railing kits ship to the city for installation by your contractor or a local installer.
What We Build
The Bristol and The Radcliffe floating-stair kits; custom and bespoke stairs; railings in cable, glass, wood, stainless steel, and steel; and pARTitions room dividers that can be made to match your railings.
Built for City Spaces
Open-riser floating stairs bring light through narrow floor plans instead of walling them off. Glass and cable railings keep sightlines open on stairs, lofts, and overlooks. Every project starts with measurements and photographs, so the design is worked out before anything is fabricated — no guessing in a finished interior.
How a Project Works
It starts with a conversation, photographs, and measurements. We work up an estimate and the design, fabricate in our Bristol shop, deliver, and coordinate the installation on site.
For New York City Stair Companies & Installers
Run a stair company or install stairs in the city? Our free Stairway Tools — measuring, layout, and code guides — are built to be used in your own business. Talk to us about buying CAPO kits and components instead of fabricating everything yourself, or about being kept on file as a local installer for CAPO projects in your area.

Questions
Can I get an estimate before a site visit? Yes. Send photographs and rough measurements through the contact form and we will start with an estimate. Site visits are scheduled once an estimate is approved and the project is moving forward.
Do your kits ship to New York City? Yes — our staircase and railing kits ship anywhere in the U.S., including all five boroughs.
Can a railing match an existing stair? In many cases, yes. Railings are built to order in cable, glass, wood, stainless steel, and steel, and stain matching is available from a sample.
